Australia Retains Constellation Cup on Aggregate Goals

Diamonds Draw with New Zealand in Final Fixture

Australia has secured its 11th Constellation Cup crown on aggregate goals despite losing the final fixture to New Zealand on Wednesday.

The Diamonds went down 63-57 to the Silver Ferns in the fourth Test in Auckland, but their earlier two victories in the four-match series were enough to seal the trophy.

In a tense and physical match, Australia rallied from a five-goal deficit in the final quarter to level the scores at 57-57 with just over two minutes remaining.

However, New Zealand's Grace Nweke scored the winning goal with just 16 seconds left on the clock to give the hosts a narrow victory.

Australia's win extends their dominance of the Constellation Cup, which they have now won 11 times out of 12 editions.

The Diamonds will now turn their attention to the upcoming Netball World Cup in South Africa in July, where they will be looking to defend their title and claim a fourth consecutive world championship.
