The Boston Bruins continued their recent surge with an impressive 5-0 victory over the Florida Panthers on Tuesday night, extending their winning streak to four games.

The Bruins got goals from five different players, including defenseman Derek Forbort, who scored the game-winner just 4:07 into the first period. Trent Frederic, Nick Foligno, David Pastrnak, and Craig Smith also found the back of the net for Boston.

Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman was outstanding in net, stopping 38 of the 39 shots he faced. It was Swayman's second shutout of the season and his fourth in the last six games.

The Bruins held the Panthers to just six shots on goal in the final period, as they tightened up their defense and closed out the game with authority.

With the win, the Bruins moved into sole possession of first place in the NHL standings, as they now hold a two-point lead over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
