Bo Bichette Continues Calf Strain Recovery
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette is continuing to recover from a left calf strain
The Blue Jays placed Bichette on the 10-day injured list on May 29 after he suffered the injury while running the bases in a game against the Baltimore Orioles.
Bichette has been one of the Blue Jays' best players this season, batting .301 with 11 home runs and 35 RBIs in 55 games.
Bichette is expected to miss at least two weeks
The Blue Jays are hopeful that Bichette will be able to return to the lineup in early July.
In the meantime, the Blue Jays will likely use Santiago Espinal at shortstop.
Espinal has been a solid fill-in for Bichette
Espinal is batting .291 with four home runs and 20 RBIs in 47 games this season.
The Blue Jays are currently in second place in the American League East, 2.5 games behind the New York Yankees.
