Where to vote

You can vote at any polling location in your county. To find your polling location, visit the Ohio Secretary of State's website or contact your county board of elections.

What to bring

When you go to vote, you will need to bring a photo ID. The following forms of ID are acceptable: * Ohio driver's license or state ID card * U.S. passport * Military ID * Student ID from a college or university in Ohio

How to vote

When you arrive at your polling location, you will be asked to sign in. You will then be given a ballot. You can vote for candidates by marking the oval next to their name. If you make a mistake on your ballot, you can ask for a new one. You can also vote provisionally if you are not sure if you are registered to vote.

Absentee voting

If you are unable to vote in person on Election Day, you can vote absentee. To request an absentee ballot, you must complete an absentee ballot application. You can download an application from the Ohio Secretary of State's website or contact your county board of elections. Absentee ballots must be postmarked by the day before Election Day and received by the board of elections by the close of polls on Election Day.
